NOTES FROM CORA:
I love to read. A new friend once gave me a book, the “Tipping Point” by Malcom Gladwell. One of my favorite stories is about two men George Kelling a consultant and David Gunn who was hired by the city of New York to clean up the subway. I feel the same way about the jobsites where we build homes.

“Differentiate or Die” by Jack Trout is a book that I refer to frequently. It is my personal motto for Generation Homes. I believe that being different will lead us from where we are today to our future. A group of savvy young people have helped me make our homes different. I hope you find this true when you view our designs.

Cora Johnston, President, has been involved in building homes and developing neighborhoods in Northeast Florida for more than 20 years. Many of those neighborhoods include St, Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach, the Intracoastal areas.

She has been instrumental in leading architectural style changes throughout the Northeast Florida area – in both the interior and exterior of homes, as well as the communities where they have been built. The newest style of “moderately modern coastal” architecture and the GrowHOMES concepts are the latest in her dream of changing the perception of new homes in Northeast Florida.

Throughout her career in homebuilding, she is best known for her leadership in customer satisfaction and operations. She is the licensed holder of Generation Homes.

Her passion for people and the building process has made her one of the areas leading builders and she is sought out by her peer groups for her knowledge and understanding of growing trends.

She understands that in our chosen professions as well as our lives, success is about how you do business within a community, how you value the people you work with and how you value their families as you value your own.

She believes that these values will bring a different style of home building company to Northeast Florida.
