Hello,
Today is the beginning of our blogs. I thought I would let you know what is new and exciting with our company.
We are finishing up the garage that we are building in Fruit Cove, Florida. What a rewarding experienceit has been to build an addition to someones long time home and watch the anticipation and excitement as it is built. Stuart and I have been fortunate to be able to work with these gracious customers. The garage is almost 1300SF and has room for three cars and a work area. Our customers chose colors that blend beautifully with their existing home. I can not wait for the painting to finish up. That is like opening a Christmas present.
The custom home in SeaGrove is under way. The first floor is blocked and framed with floor trusses set. It is a beautiful two story design by Architect Mike Stauffer of St. Augustine Beach. Next week we will begin framing the 2nd floor and setting the roof trusses.
We have had the opportunity to bid on a couple of commercial build outs and are perfecting that aspect of our business. As a child my father would take my brother and I around in his truck and show us the buildings that he had refurbished. I can understand his pride. To take an existing building or space and give it a new life rather than sitting as an empty shell has it’s own rewards.
Our two homes in the Retreat are finished or almost finished and ready for homeowners. The Retreat is a nice family neighborhood in Middleburg, Fl. For those new to our area, Middleburg is in Clay County on the southern side of Orange Park. It is hilly here by Florida standards and the drive from SR 16 to CR 218 is rare in Jacksonville today. You cross the small town of Green Cove Springs and through farm land. The Retreat is named well. It is 15 miles south from I 295 by way of Blanding Blvd. off CR 218. A nice commute to the Naval Base and most business areas of Jacksonville. For those who enjoy small town suburban living this is a retreat from the Jackonville traffic hustle and bustle.
Speaking of our homes at the Retreat. These homes are a part of our GrowHOME line. Homes that can be added on to as you live in the home. If you need more space or different space we have designed, planned and engineered our homes so that they can change with you. There is an article in the Times Union today about OPEN FLOW plan well before knocking down. It talks about how people who have lived in their homes for many years are changing their rooms and opening up their homes for how we live today. Entertaining where the kitchen is the heart of the home, families being together and furniture is larger. Our homes are designed just this way andfor this reason. With our new homes you don’t have to demolish. You just need to find the right location to live and build a home designed for how you live today…….
thank you for listening,
